POSITION SUMMARY:  
As an integral member of the Aquatics Team, the Pool Attendant helps deliver exceptional experience for our Members on the pool deck, while also providing instrumental support to our Life Guards and Swim Instructors. The Family Barn Pool Attendant serves as a gracious, welcoming Pool Deck host, and works inter-departmentally with our Food and Beverage and Men’s Locker Room teams to provide an inspiring oasis where Members can relax and enjoy the summer sun.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Pool Deck Hospitality & Operations
  • Warmly greet all Members who enter the Pool Deck, anticipate their needs, and always look for ways to exceed expectations.
  • Prepare the Pool Deck for service each day, including but not limited to arranging, cleaning, and organizing lounge chairs and tables, stocking and re-stocking pool-side restrooms with towels, water, and toiletries, and stocking recyclable drinking cups.
  • Clear used towels and work to continually maintain a fresh stock for Members to use
  • Ensure the Pool Deck always remains free of debris or trash, maintaining a safe and beautiful environment every day.
  • Uphold and maintain a standard of excellence when it comes to keeping the pool deck peaceful and beautiful, taking pride in the details and its presentation each day.
  • Ability to run our POS system to charge members for guest fees
Food & Beverage Support
  • Help address Member requests and relay pertinent information to the food & beverage server, such as drink refills or changes/additions to food orders.
  • Assist in cleaning and re-setting tables and recliners after food and beverage service concludes for each Member/party.
  • Provide support to the food and beverage server as needed and requested.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Required 17 years or older
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, weekdays
  • Ability to interact and develop positive relationships with co-workers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective listening, interpersonal, and guest service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Maintain high ethical and moral standards
  • Bilingual preferred (English / Spanish)
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and complete assignments within various time constraints

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES:
  • Minimum 2 years of hospitality or fitness experience in high-end hotels, resorts, or private clubs
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (with or without accommodations)
 
  • Ability to lift items (dumbbells up to 25 lbs., patio furniture up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work outside for several hours during fitness classes or other events
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.  Saturday and Sunday work is normally required during the summer and winter operating seasons.  Exposure to outside inclement weather conditions, including summer sun
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, sitting, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping
 

WAGE RANGE: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
