Camp Lunch Support (Summer)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Camp Lunch Support helps coordinate lunchtime operations for Martis Camp’s Summer Camp. This role is responsible for serving Camper lunches, maintaining clean and organized dining spaces, and assisting with camp setup and cleanup tasks. While primarily operational, this position interacts regularly with Campers and should be comfortable maintaining positive boundaries and supporting a positive lunchtime environment. This position runs Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, with required staff training on June 13–14.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
LUNCH SERVICE & PREP
• Clean up and organize Camper check-in materials and spaces following morning drop-off.
• Set up the camp lunch area, including tables, buffet service, and supplies.
• Serve buffet-style lunches to Campers while prioritizing boundaries and positive interactions.
• Assist the Youth Programs team in facilitating a smooth and organized lunchtime environment.
• Monitor food service areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appropriate Camper behavior.
CLEANUP & DAILY TRANSITIONS
• Manage post-lunch cleanup including clearing tables, disposing of waste, sanitizing surfaces, and resetting Member areas.
• Set up Camper check-out tables and materials for afternoon pick-up.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces throughout the day.
CAMP OPERATIONS SUPPORT
• Assist with preparation, organization, and cleanup of materials used for camp programming.
• Help monitor supplies and notify the Youth Programs team when materials need restocking.
• Follow a structured checklist to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
TEAM COLLABORATION & CAMP ENVIRONMENT
• Interact positively with Campers while maintaining appropriate limits and boundaries.
• Represent Martis Camp’s hospitality standards through professionalism, cleanliness, and friendly interactions with Members, guests, and fellow ambassadors.
• Support Family Barn operations and other departments as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Comfortable interacting with children and maintaining respectful boundaries.
• Highly organized and able to follow structured checklists with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in summer and high-altitude conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be reliable and able to consistently follow daily operational routines.
