POSITION SUMMARY:

The Club provides a four-season experience with recreation, dining, wellness, and outdoor adventure woven into every aspect of daily life.

The Men’s Locker Room Manager (MLRM) oversees all aspects of the Men’s Locker Room operation, including the locker room, wet areas, lounge, and shoe care, while seasonally supporting Golf and Food & Beverage in managing two golf course comfort stations.

The MLRM ensures policies, procedures, and operations manuals remain current. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and motivating the locker room team; managing budgets; and maintaining a superior member experience. The MLRM collaborates with Spa, Fitness, Food & Beverage, and Women’s Locker Room departments to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for members and guests. Additional support may include adult pool deck, fitness areas, and airport transportation.

The MLRM serves as a hands-on leader, fostering teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional service standards. Management responsibilities include scheduling, performance appraisals, and adherence to organizational policies and applicable laws. The MLRM must be a team player and work cohesively with other managers and department heads, project a positive attitude, listen to and deliver on member requests. Responsibilities will also include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and rewarding and disciplining Ambassadors.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Member Service & Experience – 30%

  • Develop and maintain a superior service attitude among locker room staff.
  • Greet members and guests, provide orientation, and ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Portray a professional image and foster positive member relations.
  • Create an inviting space that encourages member engagement.

Food & Beverage Service – 25%

  • Deliver exceptional food and beverage service in accordance with established Club standards and training protocols.
  • Support special events and golf tournaments in collaboration with other departments.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations.
  • Ensure proper bar service and drink preparation, presentation, and adherence to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Help to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food and beverage areas.
  • Train and mentor team members on service techniques, menu knowledge, and hospitality best practices.
  • Collaborate with culinary and bar teams to support smooth operations during peak service periods and special events.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and resolve service issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.

 Team Leadership & Staff Management – 20%

  • Hire, train, manage, and motivate locker room staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and maintain high ethical standards.
  • Provide coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Operations & Facility Management – 15%

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in locker room and wet areas.
  • Oversee shoe care and repairs for both men’s and women’s locker rooms.
  • Manage locker assignments, billing, and accurate records.
  • Monitor and purchase supplies for locker room and comfort stations.

Budgeting & Administrative Duties – 10%

  • Create and manage annual budget, labor costs, and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with Club policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and operations manuals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge

  • Comprehensive understanding of hospitality operations within private clubs or luxury environments.
  • Knowledge of locker room management, including wet areas, lounge services, and shoe care.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, payroll, and scheduling processes.
  • Understanding of health, wellness, and hygiene standards for locker room facilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Awareness of club confidentiality policies and ethical standards.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE:

Bachelor’s Degree in a hospitality or related field preferred. Minimum of five years of experience working in a private club, high-end or premium hospitality environment, with at least two years in a managerial role preferred. The equivalent combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. Bilingual communication (English/Spanish preferred).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable using mobile POS systems, scheduling software, and communication tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as phone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends. Saturday and Sunday work is normally required during the summer and winter operating seasons. 
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, sitting, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping year-round during seasonal environmental conditions.

SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS: $70,500 - $75,000 annually, with a competitive benefit package
