POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lake Club Beach Attendant is the primary point of contact to assist in servicing the needs of the membership on the Beach. Primary duties include ensuring the Beach is set up, and ready for daily use, with clean lounge chairs with towels, clean side tables and umbrellas situated correctly. SUP’s, Kayaks and Floaties displayed correctly ready for patron use. Assisting patrons prepare for a float on the Lake by readying all necessary Kayak and SUP equipment. Other duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to, meeting and greeting members and guests; communicating effectively with co-workers; maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment, and assisting in other areas of the club as needed. The Lake Club Beach Attendant will also seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships. The Beach Attendant team is made up of multiple part-time (1-4 shifts per week) seasonal positions (Mid-June to late September) and the work schedule includes weekends and holidays. The operating hours vary but could be from 8am-7pm, shift length normally 8 hours.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Display a superior service attitude, understanding that positive interactions, a “can do” attitude, and the anticipation of needs is our guiding philosophy in providing “the member experience”
- Greet all Members, Extended Family & their Guests; attend to and anticipating their needs
- Clean, Set up and break down Games and The Beach at either end of the day, including but not limited to chaise lounge chairs, umbrellas, side tables, towels, and cushions
- Make ready, and put away, at either end of the day; and maintain throughout the day all Kayaks, SUP’s, Kids Beach Toys, Games and all equipment necessary to use these toys
- Maintain an accurate electronic log, using our OSSI Lake Club software, of what water toys and life vests have been given out too, and returned by patrons throughout the day with Name; Time in/Out and a signed Waiver for each person
- Ensure that all patrons are aware of, and abide by Coast Guard Life Vest Regulations
- Be informed about and promote all club activities and services
- Keep “the member experience” in mind when making all decisions
- Be part of a Team environment that crosses a multitude of hospitality disciplines
- Take part in keeping the Lake Club Beach clean and litter free. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility, not just housekeeping
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary by day of the week at certain times through the late summer season
- Comply with all Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage and ensure a safe and efficient Beach Shack operation
- Assist your Food & Beverage colleagues where their needs arise, and your time permits, in the delivery of a seamless service
- Walk the beach every 15 minutes and check in with all Members, Extended Family & Guests
- Run beachgoers to/from their boats in a Dinghy w/outboard motor (training provided)
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a commanding presence to ensure the safety of all beachgoers
- Perform other duties as required by your manager
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for up to 5 hours at a time
- Ability to safely lift and carry or assist with member bags and sporting equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over varying surfaces (asphalt, sand, indoor flooring) for up to 200 yards at a time
- Ability to assist the membership in the transport of SUP’s, Kayaks, Floating Docks and other watercraft and toys that may be purchased or come with Members I.e., E-Foils
- Ability to grip, reach, push, and pull during lawn/beach set up and break down involving chaises, tables, cushions, and umbrellas
- Ability to kneel and reach while adjusting lawn/beach equipment and umbrellas
- Willingness to learn how to transport and use all watercraft safely and correctly
- Must be a proficient swimmer
- Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to work outside all day
- Endure exposure to sunny days, high temperatures and inclement weather conditions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50lbs, and to assist adults and small children on and off the boat onto the Dinghy
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, sitting, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Strong swimmer
- Ability to communicate effectively and take a commanding presence to ensure the safety of all beachgoers
- Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends. Exposure to outside inclement weather conditions including summer heat and sun
WAGE AND BENEFITS:
- Hourly wage of $21-23/hour
