Family Barn Pool Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY:
Pool Attendants support the daily operations, cleanliness, and guest experience of the
Family Barn Pool. This position focuses on creating a welcoming, organized, and relaxing
environment for members and guests by maintaining deck presentation, assisting with
towel service, helping with pool equipment, and providing friendly, attentive hospitality.
Pool Attendants work closely with the Aquatics Coordinator and Lifeguard team to uphold
Martis Camp’s standards of safety, service, and presentation while ensuring the pool deck
operates smoothly throughout the day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Experience & Hospitality
• Warmly greet and check in members and guests as they enter the pool area.
• Provide exceptional service by helping with chairs, umbrellas, towels, and general
deck needs.
• Anticipate member needs and delivery service that reflects Martis Camp's high
hospitality standards.
• Maintain a professional, approachable, and guest-focused demeanor.
Deck Presentation & Cleanliness
• Set up, organize, and maintain pool furniture (chairs, loungers, umbrellas, side
tables).
• Keep the pool deck clean, free of clutter, and visually appealing throughout the day.
• Routinely wipe down surfaces, straighten chairs, pick up trash and maintain an
orderly environment.
• Restock and fold towels regularly to ensure constant availability.
• Assist with towel laundering, rotation, and storage throughout daily operations.
Support for Pool Operations
• Assist lifeguards and the Aquatics Coordinator with daily tasks and safety
awareness.
• Keep pool toys, floats, and recreational equipment organized and stored neatly.
• Help with daily opening and closing procedures for the pool deck.
• Support poolside recreation programs, children’s activities, and special events as
needed.
• Monitor and report any unsafe conditions, maintenance issues, or guest concerns
promptly.
Team Communication & Professionalism
• Communicate effectively with the Aquatics Coordinator, Lifeguards, Recreation
Manager and F&B staff.
• Uphold Martis Camp’s “Ambassador” culture with teamwork, positivity, and
professionalism.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training courses.
• Follow all club policies, safety expectations, and operational procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a busy guest-facing
environment
• Must be available to work on weekends and holidays as required.
• Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Previous hospitality, recreation, or guest service experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and move between indoor and outdoor
recreation spaces.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to lift, move, and set up furniture and equipment.
• Must be able to repeatedly reach/bend/kneel/pull/push/stoop/climb stairs to
assist with product storage and cleaning duties.
WAGE AND BENEFITS:
- Hourly wage of $18-20 /hour
