Position Description:

The Beach Shack Valet is a critical point of contact to assist in servicing the needs of the membership at the Beach Shack. Duties associated with this position include meeting and greeting members and guests; communicating effectively with co-workers; maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment, and assisting in other areas of the club as needed. The Beach Shack Valet will also seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all patrons.
Greet all members and their guests attending to and anticipating their needs.
Valet all member and guest vehicles anticipating member needs and exceeding expectations.
Keep valet, porte-cochere, lawn and beach area safe and presentable.
Assist membership in watercraft transport.
Participate in lawn/beach set up and break down involving chaises, tables, cushions, and watercraft.
Be informed of, and promote all club activities and services.
Keep fiscal responsibility and member satisfaction in mind when making all decisions.
Take part in keeping the Beach Shack clean and litter free. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
Comply at all times with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations.
Perform other duties as required by your manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 21 or over with three years minimum driving experience
Must have a clean driving history (which is provided upon job offer but before the first day of work)
Must be insurable through Martis Camp Club’s vehicle insurance to drive on behalf of Martis Camp
Ability to stand while attending valet post up to 5 hours at a time/8 hours total with intermittent sitting while driving or on break.
Ability to sit while driving cars to and from valet lot for less than 10 minutes at a time
Ability to safely lift and carry or assist with member bags and sporting equipment up to 50 pounds.
Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over varying surfaces (asphalt, sand, indoor flooring) for a quarter mile at a time.
Ability to assist the membership in watercraft transport.
Ability to grip, reach, push, and pull during lawn/beach set up and break down involving chaises, tables, cushions, and watercraft.
Ability to kneel and reach while adjusting lawn/beach equipment

WAGE RANGE: $21-$22 per hour
