POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recreation Concierge serves as the welcoming face and first point of contact for Martis Camp members and guests seeking recreation information, custom experiences, and event assistance. Working under the direction of the Family Barn Experience Coordinator and Recreation Manager, this position ensures seamless communication, exceptional service, and a personalized approach to every interaction. The Concierge acts as a central hub for recreation inquiries, supporting the coordination of activities, programs, and events while exemplifying Martis Camp’s standard of warmth, professionalism, and elevated hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MEMBER SERVICES & COMMUNICATION
• Provide exceptional, personalized service to all members and guests, both in person and by phone or email.
• Serve as the first point of contact for recreation inquiries, activity sign-ups, and Club information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Martis Camp programs, events, facilities, and seasonal offerings.
• Assist members with reservations, bookings, and general Club information in a polished, timely manner.
• Anticipate member needs and follow up proactively to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
• Communicate program details, policies, and changes clearly and courteously.
• Uphold the Martis Camp service standard of professionalism, warmth, and discretion in every interaction.
RECREATION SUPPORT & COORDINATION
• Support the Experience Coordinator in organizing member requests for custom experiences and activities.
• Assist in maintaining the recreation calendar, program materials, and event signage.
• Record and update member participation and preferences for future reference.
• Coordinate with the Recreation, Folk School and Youth Programs and F&B teams to ensure smooth execution of programs and events.
• Provide accurate and friendly guidance about facilities such as the Family Barn, Parks, Nordic Shed, and Pool.
• Assist with check-ins for private experiences, programs, and events as needed.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL TASKS
• Maintain the Recreation and Family Barn email inboxes and phone line during assigned shifts, ensuring prompt, professional responses. • Assist with daily reports, guest logs, and communication tracking. • Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and recreation areas. • Manage supplies, brochures, and signage to ensure information is accurate and well-presented. • Support setup and breakdown for events, programs, or special requests when needed.
TEAM COLLABORATION & CULTURE
• Work closely with the Experience Coordinator, Recreation Manager, and Ambassadors to ensure seamless communication and consistency in service.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and seasonal orientations.
• Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, concierge, or guest services preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Proficient in email communication, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak Club periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates primarily at the Family Barn Front Desk and recreation facilities. The Concierge should maintain a polished, professional appearance and consistently uphold Martis Camp’s hospitality and presentation standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
WAGE AND BENEFITS:
- Hourly wage of $21-25 /hour
